The Kajaria Arts Foundation is committed to foster discourse and research around contemporary art practices in South Asia. The core vision at KAF is to develop an infrastructure that adds to the vibrant arts ecology in India and South Asia while also providing a space for artists to focus intently on their practice in the midst of their peers and mentors. KAF aims to do this by fostering new talent, by engaging with mid career and established artists as well as working with cultural producers and partner organizations to build different kinds of art world economies.
One of our primary focus in realizing this vision is the Kajaria Arts Foundation (KAF) residency program. An annual program, the KAF Residency allows for artists to take the time and space away from merely producing work, and instead, find the space to think, learn, and engage with fellow peers. Additional programming including projects, exhibitions, publications as well as a lectures and seminar series are ways in which a pedagogical model is also being developed.
